Two films that explain why we must...Keep COAL in the hole!With global warming threatening our planet, calls for coalmining, coal exports and burning of fossil fuels to be phased out, and for a massive expansion of renewal energy, are gathering strength. Join us to watch two films and hear from people directly involved in campaigns to keep coal in the hole.

Rivers of Shame

Rivers of Shame 2 reveals how coalmining is damaging swamps, rivers and aquifers. More than 40 communities across NSW are fighting the state Labor government’s plan to more than double the volume of mining in NSW.

Newcastle coal loader blockadeFootage of the inspiring direct action by around 1000 young people in Newcastle earlier this year, which blockaded coal exports for a day to highlight the fact that we need to rapidly phase out coalmining and exports, and the burning of fossil fuels, if we are to halt the terrible march of global warming.
